Girl child education & wellness
Keeping Girls in School, Building Tomorrow’s Leaders.
Why it matters
The health–education barrier
Over 23% of adolescent girls in India drop out of school or miss critical learning days every month due to the lack of sanitary facilities, unmanaged menstrual cramps, and deep-rooted social taboos.
When health issues hit, education stops. TPNF intervenes right inside schools and community learning centres to make classrooms safe and supportive environments.
Key education interventions
Udaan: puberty & life skills education
Interactive workshops in government and low-cost private schools covering body literacy, emotional well-being, personal hygiene, and self-confidence.
Sakhi: menstrual health management
Providing eco-friendly hygiene kits, setting up clean disposal facilities in target schools, and running stigma-busting sessions for students, teachers, and parents.
School retention tracking
Integrating health data into our Digital Swasth Card system to identify students missing school due to chronic illness, anemia, or hygiene barriers, ensuring timely intervention before dropouts occur.
